Lānaʻi Petroglyphs

Petroglyphs can be quite awe-inspiring and Lānaʻi has some great petroglyphs that are easily accessible.  The two best places to see petroglyphs on Lānaʻi are Luahiwa and Kukui Point.  Both require a bit of hiking/climbing to get close, but Luahiwa has many that are visible from the “road” as well.

For information regarding this and other ancient Hawaiian sites in Maui County, the Bailey House Museum Shop carries the book Ancient Sites of Maui Molokaʻi and Lānaʻi: Archeological Places of Interest in the Hawaiian Islands by Van James, which will give you great information regarding these amazing treasures.
